Job Title: Construction Disputes Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking experienced litigation associates to join its nationally recognized construction disputes team. This opportunity involves representing clients in complex, high-stakes matters across the U.S. and internationally. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on construction-related disputes, and will be eager to play an active role in client engagement, litigation strategy, and courtroom advocacy.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in large-scale construction disputes and related commercial litigation

  • Develop and execute case strategies in coordination with team leads

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, memoranda, and discovery responses

  • Conduct and defend depositions, assist in trial preparation, and participate in hearings and trials

  • Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to ensure comprehensive representation

  • Participate in client meetings and strategic planning discussions

  • Conduct legal research and evaluate legal precedents and regulations relevant to construction law

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a large law firm setting

  • Background in handling complex commercial or construction-related litigation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

  • Admission to a U.S. state bar, with preference for candidates eligible for admission in Texas

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong business acumen and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

  • Foreign language proficiency is considered an asset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of a U.S. State Bar

  • Eligibility to waive into the Texas Bar or sit for the next bar exam if not currently licensed in Texas

Skills:

  • Strategic litigation planning and client advisory capabilities

  • Persuasive legal writing and oral argument proficiency

  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills

  • An analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

  • Familiarity with construction law and related legal frameworks
