A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Criminal Defense to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by defending clients' constitutional rights in various criminal cases.

Duties

  • Represent clients charged with felony and misdemeanor offenses.
  • Develop and execute strategic defense plans from arraignment through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
  • Prepare and present cases in court.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
  • Minimum 3 years of criminal defense experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Prosecution experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
