Job Overview
A reputable law firm is seeking a talented Employment Law Associate or Lateral Attorney to join its employment law practice group. This position is open to both recent law school graduates with practical experience and seasoned attorneys seeking a lateral move. The ideal candidate will be passionate about employment law and possess strong analytical and communication skills. The firm provides a collaborative environment and an opportunity to work on a variety of matters involving employee rights, workplace compliance, and employer defense.

Location

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties

  • Assist with the representation of employers or employees in employment-related disputes

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

  • Advise clients on employment law issues, including workplace policies, compliance, and risk mitigation

  • Support litigation and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and other employment matters

  • Participate in investigations and fact development for ongoing cases

  • Contribute to the development of employment policies, handbooks, and training programs

  • Work closely with senior attorneys on litigation and transactional employment law matters

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in employment law

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to client service

  • Prior experience with labor and employment issues preferred (but not required for junior applicants)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (required)

  • Admission in the firm’s primary state of practice (preferred)

Skills

  • Legal research and writing proficiency

  • Litigation support and case preparation experience

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting while working independently
