Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning and Elder Law Associate Attorney in Watchung, NJ. The role involves providing clients with peace of mind regarding their estate and elder law needs, advocating for the vulnerable, and engaging in meaningful career advancement opportunities.

Duties

  • Draft planning instruments such as Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
  • Manage estate and trust administration, including fiduciary accounts and tax returns.
  • Advise on Medicaid applications and defend clients in fair hearings.
  • Engage in litigation related to will contests and guardianship issues.
  • Supervise paralegals and support the firm's practice.
  • Participate in CLE and networking events to enhance knowledge and client solutions.

Requirements

  • J.D. Degree; additional licensure or education is beneficial.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience, preferably in estate and elder law.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and case management systems like CLIO.

Education

  • J.D. Degree

Certifications

  • Additional licensure or education, such as LLM, MBA, or CPA, is helpful but not required.
