Job Overview

Duties

  • Analyze legal issues and review strategies with Managing Attorney.
  • Manage a caseload in line with firm, client, and court timelines.
  • Ensure timely updates to client systems and case management systems.
  • Prepare and review legal documents for compliance with laws and client directives.
  • Research statutes and prepare foreclosure-related motions and pleadings.
  • Handle real estate and title litigation matters.
  • Draft complaints, motions, and other legal filings.
  • Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
  • Participate in pre-trial motions, hearings, mediations, and trials.

Requirements

  • Must be VA barred; recent graduates awaiting bar results may apply.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicator.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with banks, mortgage servicers, or real estate litigation is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
