Location

Duties

  • Manage property casualty and first-party property litigation cases

  • Represent clients in state and federal courts

  • Draft pleadings, motions, complaints, and briefs with minimal supervision

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Manage discovery and litigation strategy

  • Mentor and supervise support staff or junior attorneys

  • Prepare cases for trial

  • Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to the development of practice area knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property casualty, first-party property, or civil litigation

  • Experience managing litigation through all phases, including trial preparation

  • Strong familiarity with state and federal court procedures

  • Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing

  • Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel as needed

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar license (Required)

  • Additional state bar admissions are a plus

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial preparation abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload

  • Proficient in legal research and case management

  • Comfortable with technology and legal software platforms
