Job Overview:

This role is offered through a legal recruiting partner on behalf of the firm.

Duties:

  • Assist in preparing and arguing motions and pleadings in federal courts

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft litigation documents

  • Manage discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review

  • Work alongside technical experts to analyze patent claims and understand industry-specific inventions

  • Participate in trial strategy discussions and case development from early investigation through resolution

  • Engage with clients and internal teams to provide updates and strategic insights on active matters

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in patent litigation or complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on technical subject matter

  • Demonstrated ability to handle technical topics and translate them into compelling legal arguments

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; eligibility to practice in Texas preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to a State Bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Familiarity with patent litigation procedures and related legal principles

  • Comfort navigating topics in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar technical disciplines

  • Ability to collaborate within diverse legal teams and manage tasks with minimal supervision

  • Analytical mindset with attention to technical and procedural detail
