Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level finance associate with four to six years of financial transactions experience to join their finance and lending team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing both borrowers and lenders across a wide range of complex financing transactions.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commitment letters, term sheets, and loan agreements.
  • Support counsel and partners with deal management and transaction progression.
  • Manage and conduct due diligence, issues lists, and transaction checklists.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.
  • Advise clients on post-closing matters and collateral concerns.
  • Conduct legal research and support senior attorneys on financing matters.
  • Participate in client education initiatives and business development presentations.
  • Provide mentorship to junior associates.

Requirements

  • Experience with private funds, multi-tranche capital structures, and intercreditor arrangements.
  • Comfortable leading and managing transactions from inception to completion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong drafting abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to and in good standing with the relevant local Bar.

Skills

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
