Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level transactional associate with 4-6 years of experience to join the Energy Team in Houston, TX. The candidate will represent and advise clients on power and renewable energy M&A and joint venture transactions.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture, and development agreements.
  • Manage due diligence and closing processes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices.
  • Engage directly with senior attorneys and clients.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in power and renewable energy transactions.
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional work ethic and interest in a collaborative environment.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the Texas Bar.

Skills

  • Experience with M&A and joint venture transactions.
  • Ability to work on complex matters.
