Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Law and Motion Attorney in California. This role involves drafting pleadings and motions with a strong focus on civil litigation. The position requires excellent research, writing, and analytical skills to effectively draft a wide range of litigation documents.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research to support the drafting of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Draft and prepare complaints, meet and confer correspondence, briefs, discovery motions, and dispositive motions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other legal staff to develop case strategies.
  • Take complete ownership of assigned workload.
  • Contribute positively to the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience in civil litigation.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good standing with the California State Bar.

Education

  • Degree required.

Certifications

  • California State Bar membership.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
