Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its New Jersey office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for attorneys with 3-6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation to contribute to a dynamic legal team.

Duties

  • Propose litigation strategies and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions; argue motions.
  • Participate in mediations and trials.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, negligent security, professional liability, and wrongful death claims.
  • Admitted and in good standing in New York; additional state admissions are a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with NJ Courts' rules and procedures.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York.
