Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Associate Attorney in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work, with a focus on start-ups and emerging growth companies.

Duties

  • Advise start-ups and emerging growth companies on seed and venture capital financings.
  • Conduct venture financings using NVCA documents.
  • Participate in domestic M&A transactions for startup companies and investors.
  • Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.
  • Communicate complex matters concisely and effectively in both oral and written form.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.
  • Experience with start-ups, seed and venture capital financings, and public offerings.
  • Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • State Bar admission.
