The role involves legal strategy, case development, and direct client representation.

Duties

  • Represent clients throughout the VA disability claims and appeals process, including hearings.
  • Prepare and review applications, appeals, and legal documentation.
  • Analyze medical records, VA decisions, and other evidence to develop legal arguments.
  • Work with VA paralegals and Client Support Coordinators for timely record collection and communication.
  • Monitor case status and take appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in the case management system.
  • Provide compassionate legal guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to a supportive culture.

Requirements

  • Active law license or ability to obtain licensure within one month of hire.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage a large caseload efficiently.
  • Experience with VA disability claims, Social Security Disability, or appellate work is a plus.
  • Must be coachable, collaborative, and client-focused.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
