Duties

  • Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy.
  • Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings.
  • Draft administrative appeals to the Appeals Council.
  • Evaluate prospective clients to determine eligibility for representation.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firm's case management system.

Requirements

  • Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to obtain one within one month of hire.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Social Security Disability law or appellate work is helpful but not required.
  • 1 to 3 years of legal experience is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Missouri or Kansas, or pending admission.
