IP Litigation Associate (Life Sciences/ANDA)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an IP Litigation Associate with expertise in life sciences and ANDA for their San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent litigation and be comfortable engaging in court proceedings and client interactions.

Duties

• Participate in case analyses and conduct factual and legal research.
• Draft pleadings and engage in discovery on infringement, validity, and damages issues.
• Conduct depositions and expert discovery.
• Research and draft dispositive and discovery motions and claim construction briefing.
• Participate in pre-trial and trial activities.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of significant patent litigation experience in U.S. District Courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
• Experience with post-grant proceedings.
• Comfortable speaking directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Creative thinker and team player.

Education

• Undergraduate or master's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or other life sciences discipline.
• High level of academic achievement from a law school institution.
