Litigation Associate Attorney - General Liability

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience in commercial and/or general liability litigation to join its Wilmington, Delaware office. The ideal candidate will have experience in mass torts, class actions, and professional liability defense. This role offers the opportunity to handle diverse defense litigation matters involving sophisticated clients.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in mediation.
• Draft and answer discovery requests.
• Assist in trial preparation and trial proceedings.

Requirements

• Experience with state and federal courts preferred.
• Experience with state and federal administrative agencies preferred.
• Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to travel locally for court appearances and other legal proceedings.
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to client service.
• Admission to the state bar of Delaware required; Ohio admission a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar of Delaware.
