Associate Attorney

Job Overview
A law firm seeks an associate attorney in Portland, Oregon, with a minimum of three years of experience in personal injury defense, employment, and commercial litigation. Duties

• Manage files throughout the litigation process independently and as part of a team.
• Conduct fact investigations.
• Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, including oral arguments of motions.
• Prepare for and attend trials, providing trial team support and conducting direct and cross-examinations of witnesses.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon or Washington.
• Minimum of three years of relevant litigation experience.
• Ability to work independently on complex cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Oregon or Washington.
