Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated General Liability Defense Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join their dynamic legal team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability defense, excellent litigation skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.

Duties

  • Handle a diverse caseload of general liability defense matters, including premises liability, personal injury, and property damage.
  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings to trial and appeal.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing strategic legal advice and updates on case progress.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for efficient case management.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in general liability defense litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence in legal work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with insurance defense is highly desirable.
