Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Junior to Mid-Level Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join its Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of experience in handling data privacy, AI, and cybersecurity matters.

Duties

• Assist clients with AI, cybersecurity, and privacy incident preparedness and response.
• Conduct regulatory defense investigations related to AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity issues.
• Build legally defensible AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity programs in compliance with US laws.
• Conduct due diligence and provide M&A support for AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
• Draft policies and negotiate data processing and related agreements.

Requirements

• Two to six years of relevant experience in data privacy, AI, and cybersecurity.
• High level of academic achievement and solid law firm experience preferred.
• Strong interest in AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity fields.
• Experience in federal government or law enforcement on related issues is welcome.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
