Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trust and Estates Attorney with 5 or more years of estate planning experience to join its Tax Practice Team in Palo Alto, CA. The role involves working directly with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans.

Duties

• Draft and review estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, deeds, and powers of attorney.
• Assist with probate and trust administration matters.
• Prepare Form 706 estate tax returns.
• Advise high-net-worth individuals on complex estate tax planning needs.
• Engage in international estate planning, if applicable.

Requirements

• 5+ years of estate planning experience.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients preferred.
• Fluency in a foreign language, such as Spanish or Vietnamese, is a plus.
• California or Arizona license required, depending on location.
• Tax background (e.g., tax LL.M, CPA) preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California or Arizona.
