Junior/Mid-Level Tax and Private Wealth Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior/Mid-Level Tax and Private Wealth Associate in Miami, Florida. The role involves advising foreign and domestic clients on U.S. federal income, gift, and estate tax matters, with a focus on domestic and cross-border tax planning.

Duties

• Advise on pre-immigration and expatriation tax planning.
• Handle cross-border investments and international information reporting.
• Ensure FATCA and CRS compliance.
• Manage U.S. withholding tax matters, including FIRPTA.
• Advise on offshore private placement life insurance and annuity contracts.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside in the Miami area at or prior to the time of hire.
• Expected to work in the office at least three business days per week.

Education

• JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.
• LL.M. in Tax preferred.

Certifications

• Must be licensed or ready to become licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

• Experience in income tax planning.
• Corporate experience is a plus.
