Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced, team-oriented associate for their Employment Practice Area in Southborough, MA. The associate will assist in a variety of tasks including litigation, counseling, drafting, investigations, and training. This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule with three in-office days.

Duties

  • Draft and revise employment policies, handbooks, and agreements.
  • Provide counseling on HR and employment compliance matters.
  • Litigate employment cases such as wrongful termination and discrimination.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including mediations and trials.
  • Prepare and analyze discovery productions.
  • Communicate with clients and provide legal advice and updates.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in an employment practice area.
  • Experience representing employers in employment disputes.
  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts; additional state Bar admissions are a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of the Massachusetts Bar.
