Business Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Business Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in Providence, RI. This role offers the opportunity to engage in challenging and meaningful work, providing legal counsel and advocacy for a variety of commercial clients, including businesses, financial institutions, and lenders. Duties

• Represent businesses and financial entities in federal and state courts, as well as before governmental agencies.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on matters involving business law, including creditor and lender rights.
• Assist clients with securing collateral, negotiating resolutions, and collecting outstanding debts.
• Draft, file, and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents to advance client cases effectively.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and develop innovative strategies to address complex commercial issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine case strategies and ensure exceptional client service.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience practicing business law or similar legal areas.
• Proven experience handling cases in federal and state courts, as well as before governmental entities.
• Strong client service skills, with a focus on building trust and achieving favorable outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts and good standing with the state bar (licenses in additional states are a plus).
