Associate Attorney needed for Garden City office

A law firm located in Garden City, NY, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense work, including construction, premises, product liability, and general liability cases. The role requires Bar admission and involves handling a diverse caseload, providing legal advice, drafting documents, and representing clients in various legal matters. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong legal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

• Manage a variety of insurance coverage and defense cases, including construction, premises, product liability, and general liability matters.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients on insurance coverage issues and defense strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation.
• Negotiate settlements and manage case files efficiently to meet legal deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting clients' cases.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense work, including experience with construction, premises, product liability, and general liability cases.
• Bar admission is required.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and provide effective legal representation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
