Job Title: Civil Litigation/Business Transaction Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a driven and experienced attorney to support its litigation and transactional practice. This role involves handling a range of civil disputes and business transactions, including trial work, contract negotiations, mergers, and commercial or residential real estate matters. The successful candidate will demonstrate courtroom confidence, transactional acumen, and the ability to independently manage a dynamic caseload. The firm fosters a collegial, performance-driven environment with strong support for professional growth.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters from inception through trial

  • Draft, review, and negotiate business sales, mergers, and acquisition agreements

  • Manage commercial and residential real estate transactions

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials

  • Appear in court and advocate effectively before judges and juries

  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal strategies and case development

  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold deadlines for filing and disclosures

Requirements:

  • Active license in good standing with the Arizona State Bar

  • 3-5 years of experience in both litigation and business transactions

  • Demonstrated success managing jury trials and client advocacy

  • Proficiency in the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (mandatory)

Skills:
