Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Counsel with extensive experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution to join their team in Menlo Park, CA. This role involves managing a large docket of litigation and pre-litigation matters for a major technology client, coordinating operations, and leading a team of attorneys and non-attorneys.

Duties

• Drive and coordinate matter management and budgeting for litigation matters.
• Develop docket management strategies as the mix of matters evolves.
• Innovate workflows and coordination among teams, utilizing AI creatively.
• Supervise and enhance operations management, including docketing and staffing.
• Manage data collection and deliver insights to client and firm teams.
• Communicate directly with clients and relationship partners.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in litigating complex civil cases.
• Proven ability to interact with clients and manage teams effectively.
• Strong leadership skills and a client-service mindset.
• Proficiency in litigation management platforms, Excel, and AI tools.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.

Certifications

• Member of the State Bar of California, admitted in good standing.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
