Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate Group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney passionate about real estate law to work on sophisticated and varied matters while building strong client relationships.

Duties

  • Handle a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.
  • Manage assigned cases from start to finish, developing strategies for successful outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide informed advice.
  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case progress.
  • Represent clients effectively in negotiations to achieve favorable resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues across practice areas.
  • Uphold professional conduct and adhere to state bar requirements.
  • Assist in financial management of cases, including setting retainers and managing payment schedules.
  • Stay current with legal developments and complete required Continuing Legal Education (CLE).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
  • Minimum of 2 years of transactional real estate experience in a law firm.
  • Experience with litigation and/or planned community law is a strong plus.
  • Ability to handle real estate transactions with attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to client service excellence.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
