Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of construction litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on complex construction-related issues.
• Handle disputes involving construction defects, project delays, insurance claims, and contract breaches.
• Develop case strategies, prepare motions, and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties to resolve disputes and advance litigation goals.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation, ensuring adherence to firm policies and legal standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members, including junior associates, paralegals, and senior attorneys.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction litigation or related fields.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and manage a caseload effectively.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in drafting legal documents, motions, and litigation-related paperwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Louisiana State Bar or eligibility to become admitted.
