Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Attorney to join its Sheffield Village, Ohio office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all phases of litigation and will engage directly with clients, offering opportunities to develop litigation and trial skills.

Duties

• Manage a wide range of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, discovery, and pre-trial work.
• Appear in court and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Manage client communications and case strategy.
• Create corporate documents for business entities.
• Prepare transactional documents such as purchase agreements.
• Offer guidance as general counsel to clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in litigation.
• Experience in client intake, drafting pleadings, and trial work.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Portable book of business encouraged but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
