Job Overview:

The Civil Litigation Associate Attorney provides professional, timely, and competent legal services to the firm’s clients. They will handle claims, lawsuits, and transactional matters under some supervision while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to resolving conflicts effectively.

Duties:

• Handle claims, lawsuits, and transactional matters with some supervision
• Learn, understand, and retain facts and issues pertinent to cases
• Formulate litigation or transaction plans and prepare budgets as necessary
• Develop intelligent and cost-effective approaches to conflict resolution
• Maintain regular communication with the supervising lawyer
• Produce high-quality work within specified timelines
• Ensure confidentiality of client information

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation
• Interest in commercial and governmental law is advantageous
• Must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Self-starting nature with a strong work ethic

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New Mexico State Bar
