Associate Attorney - Litigation and Insurance Coverage

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with over two years of civil litigation experience to join its office in Irvine, California. This role involves working within a dynamic team known for handling complex insurance claims and high-stakes coverage litigation across various sectors.

Duties

• Assist with all phases of insurance coverage analysis and related civil litigation in state and federal courts.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and other coverage-related communications.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents; support depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and risk evaluation.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and coverage issues.
• Attend court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-person.

Requirements

• Active bar license in California.
• At least two years of civil litigation experience in state or federal court.
• Experience in insurance coverage law preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in California.
