A law firm seeks a Tax Controversy Associate in Wilmington, DE. The candidate should have 4 to 7 years of civil tax controversy experience, preferably within a law firm setting.

Duties

• Represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax agencies.
• Conduct efficient legal research and analysis.
• Prepare and review draft legal documents related to tax controversy matters.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines under attorney supervision.
• Interact daily with clients and manage client relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with large transactional practices.

Education

Certifications

• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location.

Skills

• Experience with the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Courts, and/or the Court of Federal Claims is a plus.
• LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
