Duties

  • Consult with clients on legal best practices and provide legal support.
  • Prepare case file documents and compile trial briefs.
  • Draft and administer legal documents, including contracts and motions.
  • Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action.
  • Adhere to a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
  • Represent the firm in legal proceedings such as trials and hearings.
  • Facilitate depositions of experts and case witnesses.
  • Research and interpret law and rulings to anticipate legal risks.
  • Maintain case files from opening to close and communicate case status to clients.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and current license to practice law in California.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skills in persuasion and negotiation.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong computer skills.
  • Professional attitude and strong personal ethics.
  • Administrative and managerial experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
