Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate with over three years of experience to join their team in Anchorage, Alaska. The successful candidate will work on innovative projects in the renewable energy sector, collaborating with clients across the country to develop and finance clean energy initiatives.

Duties

  • Collaborate with clients on renewable energy projects from inception to completion.
  • Draft and negotiate project development and finance agreements.
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and commercial contracts.
  • Provide legal support for power purchase and equipment supply agreements.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork to deliver client-focused solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of law firm experience in project development and finance.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with power purchase agreements and construction contracts is advantageous.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
