Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in New York City. The role involves representing whistleblowers in False Claims Act qui tam litigation in federal and state courts, as well as agency submissions to the SEC, CFTC, and other agencies. Occasional work in securities, financial fraud, antitrust violations, and consumer protection litigation is also expected. Candidates with recent plaintiff-side experience are preferred, and prior government litigation experience is advantageous.

Duties

  • Represent whistleblowers in complex litigation cases.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation dockets independently.
  • Draft pleadings and conduct investigations.
  • Handle discovery and depositions.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of complex litigation experience.
  • Experience in whistleblower or financial fraud litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal writing skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-Accredited School of Law.

Certifications

  • Active State license in good standing in NY or CT.

Skills

  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation independently.
