Litigation Legal Counsel

Job Overview:
A well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Litigation Counsel or Senior Counsel to join its litigation team. The firm’s litigation group represents clients through all phases of dispute resolution—pre-litigation strategy, crisis management, trial, and appeal—in some of the most challenging jurisdictions nationwide. This position emphasizes expertise in electronic discovery and strategic litigation support. The role offers opportunities to contribute meaningfully to complex defense litigation matters in a collaborative, multidisciplinary legal environment.

Location:

• Jacksonville, FL

Duties:

• Collaborate with litigation teams to develop and execute case strategies

• Manage discovery processes, with particular focus on electronic discovery (e-discovery)

• Design and oversee privilege log and redaction workflows, including use of automated tools

• Create and implement document review procedures and review workflows

• Draft and revise witness summaries and deposition preparation materials

• Participate in client and witness interviews and records analysis

• Support trial preparation and case resolution efforts

Requirements:

• License to practice law in Texas or Florida

• Substantial experience in e-discovery, document review, and production

• Skilled in implementing analytics and predictive coding tools across various platforms

• Experience leading document review teams and managing privilege review processes

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to high-volume and high-stakes litigation

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and in teams

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing license in Texas or Florida (required)

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in e-discovery tools and litigation technology

• Legal drafting and editing of litigation documents

• Strong writing and verbal communication skills

• Process design and workflow efficiency for large-scale litigation

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving in high-pressure environments
