Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its Chicago, IL office. The role involves handling various aspects of intellectual property litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Duties

• Conduct discovery and manage motion practice.
• Participate in depositions and Markman hearings.
• Provide client counseling and engage in negotiations and licensing.
• Prepare for trials and handle appellate practice.

Requirements

• Two to three years of litigation experience.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Registered or eligible to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Eligible to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
