Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Warrington, PA, to manage client case portfolios from assignment to conclusion. The role involves drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and ensuring effective case management through collaboration with clients and internal staff.

Duties

  • Draft legal pleadings, notices, motions, and orders.
  • Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
  • Update case management system to maintain data integrity.
  • Travel to court and client sites as necessary.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and staff for effective case management.
  • Identify legal issues requiring additional review.
  • Establish follow-up systems to meet deadlines for pleadings.
  • Manage a high volume of files with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
  • Review and correct case work prepared by paralegals.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with 1-3 years of experience.
  • Pennsylvania Bar Admission; active and in good standing.
  • Bar admission in NJ, NY, DE, MD, WV, VA is a plus.
  • Litigation skills and experience in Non-Default, General Counsel, and real estate preferred.
  • Experience with electronic case management systems like CaseAware and Practice Master preferred.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and court procedures.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client and staff interaction.
  • Flexibility, self-direction, and motivation.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Pennsylvania Bar Admission; active and in good standing.
