Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate M&A Associate to join its growing corporate group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions for both private and public companies, with a focus on drafting and negotiating principal acquisition agreements. Admission to practice in California is required.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including contracts and correspondence.
• Manage complex transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies.
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as negotiations and trials.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and community involvement.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of M&A experience with private and public companies.
• Experience in complex cross-border transactions preferred.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in California.
