Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate to join its Corporate, Emerging Companies & Private Capital practice in San Francisco, CA. The role involves working with a diverse range of clients in the innovation economy, providing legal counsel throughout various stages of corporate growth and transactions.

Duties

  • Lead transaction execution and manage deal processes.
  • Draft and negotiate principal transaction documents.
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for founders, executives, and investment professionals.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across practices and offices.
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to practice growth.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience at a leading law firm.
  • Experience with venture capital, growth equity, or related corporate transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Strong academic credentials and communication abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to contribute to practice growth.
  • California bar admission or eligibility for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
