A law firm seeks a Senior Family Law Attorney in Annapolis, MD. This role offers a primarily remote work environment with required in-person presence for court appearances and essential meetings within Anne Arundel County. The firm is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services during sensitive life transitions, managing approximately 30 active family law clients per attorney each month.

Duties

  • Manage a comprehensive caseload of family law matters from intake to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials.
  • Lead and participate in mediation sessions.
  • Maintain empathetic communication with clients.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel for amicable resolutions.
  • Oversee and collaborate with paralegals and support staff.
  • Stay updated on Maryland family law statutes and precedents.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth and client service standards.

Requirements

  • Active bar membership in Maryland.
  • Experience with at least 30 hearings or trials in Circuit Court.
  • Consulted with at least 200 family law clients.
  • Experience with Maryland family court procedures.
  • Ability to educate clients through family law cases.
  • Knowledge of family law practice in Maryland counties.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home office setup.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
