Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Senior Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice in Wilmington, Delaware. The successful candidate will work within litigation teams to manage cases in Delaware's federal and state courts, focusing on mass tort litigation, product liability, commercial litigation, and general liability.

Duties

  • Manage cases proactively from start to finish in both state and federal courts.
  • Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations.
  • Take depositions of key fact and expert witnesses.
  • Prepare case updates and handle client communications as requested.
  • Collaborate closely with paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in Delaware; bar admission in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of litigation experience; some toxic tort experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseload proactively from start to finish.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong research ability and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to client development.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Delaware.
