Junior Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in Bismarck, ND. The successful candidate will engage in diverse renewable energy work, including project development, commercial, financing, and transactional practice areas.

Duties

• Collaborate with attorneys in the Renewable Energy group.
• Engage in project development and transactional work.
• Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or comparable experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate, and/or project development.
• Familiarity with tax credit matters, including ITCs or PTCs, is a plus.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in North Dakota.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Dakota or eligible for admission without examination.
