Job Overview

A law firm seeks a 3rd to 4th year associate to join the Energy Regulatory and Transactions practice in Washington, D.C. The associate will engage in dynamic areas of energy law, representing renewable energy developers, power producers, and utilities.

Duties

  • Support regulatory work before FERC and state public utility commissions.
  • Participate in litigation before administrative agencies and federal courts.
  • Conduct investigations and manage transactional work, including contract negotiations.
  • Assist in energy-related financings and transactions.

Requirements

  • Admitted to the DC Bar.
  • Significant experience in FERC hearings and settlements.
  • Regulatory experience in electric renewable energy and gas sectors is desirable.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the DC Bar.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in energy law and regulatory frameworks.
