A law firm seeks an Employment Law Attorney in Illinois with over six years of experience. The ideal candidate will manage complex litigation and provide strategic employment counseling and compliance advice to clients.

Duties

• Lead defense in complex state and federal litigation involving employment law issues.
• Manage class and collective action defenses, including FLSA and state wage and hour class actions.
• Handle all aspects of high-stakes litigation, including motions, mediation, and trial.
• Represent clients before EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and state agencies.
• Draft and update employment policies and handbooks for legal compliance.
• Advise on employment agreements, severance packages, and HR matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations and advise on multi-state compliance.
• Design and deliver training programs on employment law topics.
• Provide proactive audits of employment practices.
• Lead and mentor junior associates and drive business development efforts.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing litigation independently.
• Comfortable in courtroom settings and negotiations.
• Strategic thinker with understanding of employer-regulatory agency dynamics.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Active bar license in Illinois; Wisconsin or multi-state a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
