Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in downtown Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Transaction Associate to support its senior legal team. This role offers direct mentorship from experienced partners and hands-on involvement in business acquisitions, commercial agreements, and both commercial and residential property transactions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative setting while demonstrating the ability to manage responsibilities independently with professionalism and precision.

Duties:

  • Assist with structuring, drafting, and negotiating business sale and merger documents

  • Manage and execute commercial and residential real estate transactions

  • Analyze legal and business issues to identify risks and develop practical solutions

  • Communicate clearly with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure seamless transactional processes

  • Collaborate closely with partners and fellow attorneys to maintain alignment with strategic client goals

  • Conduct legal research and draft related correspondence and documentation

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in transactional law (commercial, real estate, or M&A)

  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle assignments with appropriate oversight

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

  • High level of accountability and professional maturity

  • Willingness to go beyond the expected to meet client needs

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Arizona State Bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in legal research

  • Familiarity with the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Fluency in Chinese preferred, but not required
