Duties

  • Manage components of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
  • Handle private equity and hedge fund taxation matters.
  • Advise on real estate and REIT taxation.
  • Engage in complex capital markets transactions, including structured notes.
  • Participate in bankruptcy and workout processes.
  • Contribute to structured finance and securitization projects.
  • Support lending and project finance initiatives.
  • Assist start-up and early-stage companies with tax-related issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a broad-based federal transactional tax practice.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Active membership in the New York Bar or California Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York or California.
