Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Tax Associate Attorney with expertise in transactional tax matters to join their Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in Jefferson City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing tax credits.

Duties

• Advise clients on transactions involving new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy investment tax credits.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to structure tax credit deals.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on tax credit issues.

Requirements

• Five or more years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing.
