Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Probate Trust Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in Newport Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will represent clients in estate planning, wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary duties, handling complex matters and collaborating with senior attorneys.

Duties

  • Advocate for clients by understanding their needs and forming strategic plans.
  • Communicate with clients about asset distribution plans.
  • Organize and maintain current client files.
  • Provide information on retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance options.
  • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals in civil litigation processes.
  • Represent clients in probate and trust litigation, including will contests and trust modifications.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues.
  • Participate in mediations and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel on case strategies.
  • Maintain timely communication and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Manage deadlines and case files with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, especially in stressful situations.
  • Experience in estate planning and probate law for at least 1-2 years.
  • Active member of the California Bar Association.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with a legal background.
  • J.D. degree required.

Certifications

  • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association).
