Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Boca Raton, FL office. The role involves advising boards of directors on corporate issues, managing covenant enforcement, and providing contract review. The position offers immediate client contact and substantive work, with potential for a hybrid work arrangement after an initial period.

Duties

  • Provide legal representation to Condominium and Homeowner Associations.
  • Conduct legal research and review relevant documents.
  • Draft opinion letters and violation demand letters.
  • Advise Boards of Directors on governance matters and owner-related issues.
  • Attend client Board meetings to provide legal guidance.
  • Maintain knowledge of governing documents, including Declarations and Bylaws.
  • Draft, finalize, and record association-related documents.
  • Understand applicable Condominium statutes and guide client Boards.
  • Manage multiple priorities and provide timely follow-up.
  • Participate in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Community Association law.
  • Active and valid Florida Bar license.
  • Knowledge of the Florida Condominium Act and Homeowners' Association Act preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to high-quality work and client service.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Florida Bar license.
